Open .eml files
.eml is the standard file format for a single email. Many mail programs open it, but not every computer has one set up – and on a Chromebook or a shared PC you may not want to. Letterlark shows .eml files with their formatting, headers and attachments.
Steps
- Open Letterlark.
- Drop one or more .eml files onto the page.
- Click a message to read it. Use Headers to see the full technical headers, for example to check where a message came from.
- Download attachments, or select several messages and use Export → All attachments to get them in one .zip.
Safe viewing
Scripts, forms, remote images and external links in the email are disabled. That makes Letterlark a calm way to look at a suspicious message: nothing in it can load content or report back that you opened it.
Questions and answers
Can I convert EML to PDF?
Yes. Select the messages and choose Export → PDF; your browser’s print dialog opens, where you choose “Save as PDF”.
Can I combine many EML files into one MBOX?
Yes. Open them all, click Select all results and choose Export → MBOX.
