Convert EML or MSG files to PDF

An .eml is a standard email file (Apple Mail, Thunderbird, Gmail downloads); an .msg is a single Outlook message. Both can be turned into a PDF without uploading them to a conversion site.

Using a mail program

  • EML: open it in Apple Mail, Thunderbird or classic Outlook and print to PDF.
  • MSG: Outlook for Windows opens it; print to PDF. On Mac or without Outlook, see MSG on Mac/Linux.

In the browser, several files at once

  1. Drop the .eml/.msg files on Letterlark (as many as you like).
  2. Select them and choose PDF – one page break per message.
  3. Save as PDF from the print dialog.

Embedded messages (an .msg or .eml attached to another message) open with one click, so you can include them too.

Why not an online converter?

Sites that “convert EML to PDF online” receive the full email including attachments and addresses. For contracts, HR or client mail that's often not acceptable. Letterlark's app page is not allowed to connect to any server.

Open your mail file now. Letterlark opens PST, OST, MSG, EML and MBOX files in Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Safari on Windows, Mac, Linux or Chromebook. Files are read on your computer – the app page cannot upload anything. Viewing and search are free without limit; exports (PDF, EML, MBOX, CSV, attachments) are free up to 20 messages at a time. A one-time license is $19 (Personal) or $49 (Pro, business use).
